When fitting new brake pads, it’s important to also fit new braking accessories like wear leads. This allows for optimal performance of the braking system.
Keep the following fitment steps in mind when fitting NWL5243 to NBP1411 in a Jaguar XF/XJ rear brake pad change.
Remove the spring fitting from the top of the pad using a suitable tool.
Insert the wear sensor into the spring.
Insert the spring and wear sensor back into the pad using a suitable tool. Be careful not to apply force to the top of the plastic sensor housing during this step to avoid damaging it.
